The enthusiasm and talent is always evident at the fund-raising events, in rehearsals, on stage, in the pub and at the parties! Members, however inexperienced, have always been encouraged to “have a go” - at the auditions, for election to committee and as members of the production team. Solihull Theatre Company is an open and inclusive society where new members are an important part of the ongoing development of the society. We offer Performing and Non-Perfoming membership and are interested in speaking to anyone who would like to consider being part of a modern amateur theatre society. Our main rehearsal night is on a Thursday and if you're lucky enough to secure a principal part in one of our productions, you'll also need to available on a Tuesday. We start rehearsing for our new productions in September. We usually rehearse at Cranmore Infant School in Solihull from 7:30pm - 10:00pm.Cranmore Infant School, Northland Rd, Shirley, Solihull B90 4SA
OVER 25 YEARS OF ONSTAGE AND OFFSTAGE HISTORY
In 2018 Solihull Theatre Company celebrated it's 25th Anniversary. Over the years our founder members have seen the group constantly evolve with new members involved both onstage and offstage. We have produced and performed over 30 productions which have been brought together by an enthusiastic group of performers, production teams and offstage volunteers.
AWARD WINNING PRODUCTIONS
The society has been nominated for various awards and accolades over the years. We're thrilled that our 2010 production of Jekyll and Hyde won the prestigious NODA regional award for Best Production and Programme.
SOCIAL EVENTS
Social events are a huge part of the group with activities planned during the year such as quizzes, nights out and parties. STC has seen the formation of more friendships than can be listed here with everyone made to feel welcome. Amateur Theatre is all about having fun and nobody does that better than STC!
